Dr. Price is a board-certified neurologist and a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Neurocritical Care Society. He cares for patients with neurological disorders including conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuropathy, Epilepsy, Migraines, and Ischemic Stroke. Dr. Price served as the medical director of the Northwest Neurology & Sleep.

Dr. Price earned his degree in medicine from the University of Utah, School of Medicine and completed his neurology residency training at the University of Michigan in Detroit, Michigan. He also fulfilled a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and a sleep disorders medicine fellowship at Scripps Clinic & Research Foundation in La Jolla, California.

He was rude from the moment he walked in and never made eye contact. He never looked directly at me when asking me a question. He exaggerated how many prescriptions I'm on, yes a lot, then made a rude statement about it, and tossed the papers aside. Still not looking at me. The man NEVER smiled. I think he hates his job. Fine, dictate your notes, but learn how to interact with your patients. That's what you're paid for.

My visit with Dr Robert Price was very bad on his part as a doctor he was very rude and his statements that were stated to me were very disturbing for a doctor to say due to this when I left is office I was so upset and crying that my husband had to calm me down so I wouldn't go into a siezure

Dr. Price didn't let me telling my symptoms and didn't listen what I concerned. As a stroke patient, I can not speak as well as a natural American. English is my third language that is why Dr. Price has a stereotype to me.

Dr. Price listens, and askes the right questions, and gives strait answers easy to understand. Also, I can't say enough about his PA, Tammy. She is relaxed, giving her the opportunity to listen, ask questions, and have everything ready for Dr. Price when he comes in the exam room, (which was only a minute later).

Dictation is a great tool but it distracts greatly from the visit. Dr seems more concerned about finishing his note before visit is over than actually talking to me.

10 months of wasted time. There are lots of things to do to help neuropathy but I guess that's beyond his scope. I don't understand how he has a medical license. Sorry but all this was a waste of time and $. You should refund CenCal. Just a mess.

He ordered like 21 bloodwork tests but never looked at my results before the appt. He says he never dies. Then just did a guess that my neuropathy was from chemo or alcohol and nothing he could do. After waiting 10 months this is how I was treated. Just saw my GI doc - nothing wrong with my liver. Still don't understand why he wanted bloodwork now when my symptoms came on years ago and we have that bloodwork. Btw- he had no recollection of how I was. Pretty arrogant.

My appointment was rescheduled a week prior because there wasn't an authorization, then ultimately had already been submitted & then rescheduled for two months out. Very frustrating when trying to transfer care from a University where your current Physician will no longer be practicing and you're needing to continue care

He is a great/knowledgeable doctor. However, he definitely needs an assistant to help him w/dictation and taking notes like other drs. He spends more than 50% of his time in the room on his computer dictating/writing notes instead of spending that time with his patients.

There are not any options in our area. You go to who has an opening. It is a frightening place to get health care. I believe Dr. Price is a very bright and intelligent doctor. He might even be a really good neurologist. I have no idea. We have not had one normal conversation. He is like talking to a robot. He walks in the room and logs onto the computer NEVER looking me in the eye. He talks to the computer and I often have to ask if he is talking to me.. He usually answers "no". This last minute he was pissed off and was in a very foul mood. I couldn't tell if he was mad at how his day was going, or if he was mad at the computer, or what was going on. It didn't really matter. When I leave I usually just read what he wrote and I was surprised this time because he wrote things we had not even talked about which made me mad, since medical records tend to follow patients for a life time! I went home and told my husband, "I think Dr. Price is somewhere on the Spectrum. He is very smart but has zero social skills and does not read any social ques." It gives me a little compassion for him but does not help me get the care I need.

The office staff is nice. The back office tells you that you need to be seen in the next week but the front office says that is not possible and schedules you a month out. This happens over and over. I had an appointment coming up in a couple of weeks for a procedure and then they said "Well, your appointment is scheduled for an exam room and you need to be in a different room (because I needed a shot) so we will need to re-schedule you and the next available is 3 months out!!!" That is literally ridiculous!!! He can give a shot in another room. My last doctor gave shots in the same rooms all the time.

Two appointments ago, a medical assistant apparently typed in my weight incorrectly. Two numbers were transposed, which would have meant a roughly 50 pound weight loss between my previous visit and the visit where my weight was entered incorrectly. I commented on that to the medical assistant and to the doctor during that appointment, two appointments ago. I explicitly asked that it be corrected, and a medical assistant told me I could change it myself with a pen on the paper copy of the visit summary I was handed. Apparently the error was never corrected in my medical records at this doctor's office, because when I saw the doctor at this most recent visit the first thing he did was chastise me for gaining @50 pounds between my last visit and this visit. I figured out what he was talking about and explained that at the previous visit, the medical assistant entered my weight wrong, I guess what he was looking at was an error that I had told him and the medical assistant about at the previous visit. So then he acknowledged that error, but gave me no indication that it would ever be corrected. I can only assume that incorrect information is still in my medical records now.

The doctor dictates notes on a headset during the entire time he is in the exam room with me. He starts talking, dictating his notes, while I'm still talking, so then I stop and don't get to fully answer his questions. He did not consult me about any proposed treatment. He is very brusque and comes across to me as unfriendly, abrasive, rude, and uncaring. I would not recommend this doctor.

I did the lengthy check-in online on my phone about an hour before arriving at the appointment, it gave me little to no opportunity to give an update on my condition or even state why I want to see the doctor, but I was asked to verify pages and pages of things like the medical conditions my parents and grandparents died of. To no one's surprise, there has not been any change in the cause of death of my parents or grandparents since my last visit with this doctor, yet I must waste my time going through your form. Then I had to repeat the entire check-in questionnaire when I arrived at the office! I told the medical assistant that I already filled this entire form out online before arriving, but she just shrugged and said I still needed to do it again anyway. To no one's great surprise, I'm sure, there had not been any change in the medical conditions that led to my parents' and grandparents' deaths in the last hour before my appointment, either. I sat in the waiting room for at least 75 minutes (probably more like 90, because I arrived slightly early for my appointment - because I'm a polite and conscientious person) and there was no communication with me about the delay. When a medical assistant walked me into the exam room she acknowledged the delay by saying something to the effect of "Sorry for the delay, but your doctor treats patients who have other conditions besides ____ (my medical condition, which is apparently trivial) too, you know" as justification for the wait well in excess of an hour past my scheduled appointment time.

Waiting months for an appointment with a doctor of this specialty is apparently the here, but it certainly doesn't make me feel like my needs are being met, to wait @6 months for an appointment.

I am seeing this doctor because of migraine headaches that leave me immobilized from pain, shaking and whimpering/crying from the pain for hours at a time. When a migraine headache hits, I'm in agony for several hours, and the pain feels like my head is being crushed and might split open. For hours. Then I mercifully fall asleep, and generally wake up the next day with much less pain but still feeling weak and helpless, super-sensitive to light and noise. My headaches have gotten worse (to where I vomit/dry heave for an extended time when the pain is the worst with every headache now, instead of only occasionally) and I am getting these headaches with increasing frequency. It is having a major effect on my life. The medical assistant glibbly said several times "Oh, I have migraines, too. I've suffered from migraines my whole life, you just have to figure out what triggers them and avoid that." I asked what the term "migraine headache" meant to her, because I wondered if her "migraines she had suffered from her whole life" ever involved pain so intense she was immobilized by it, pain so bad it felt like her head was going to split open. She didn't answer. When the doctor came in, he said "So I hear you've had pain so bad it feels like your head is going to split open. It won't, you know. That practically never happens." And I felt like my condition was being mocked and minimized and that neither one of them cared about me or my condition. I thought that was unprofessional of the medical assistant to cheerfully say she's had the condition that is so debilitating for me "her whole life" and recommend that I "just have to" do such and such to relieve it. I took the doctor's comment as mocking and uncaring of the pain I suffer.

New patient paperwork was mailed and it should be available online. Copies were poor (grainy/gray), single sided and mailing was approx. $1 each way. It's a cleaner, more efficient experience for both parties when this can be done electronically.

I was initially told that my appointment was at 1:30pm, and though I was sent multiple appointment reminders and even performed a pre-arrival digital check-in, nowhere in anything past my initial scheduling of the appointment was the 2:00pm time mentioned - causing me to arrive at 1:10pm (wanting to make sure I was early to what I thought was my appointment time)

they completely did not even come close to doing what was needed , i have a injury near my hip and they check my leg and nerves below my knee , and the whole reason i was there to begin with was due to massive nerve damage near my hip from a fucking gun shot injury thats just below my hip , no shit my calf and foot are not fucked up cause its not my calf that was shot !!

I did not feel like the proposed treatments were explained and how it would help with finding a diagnosis. I was given hand outs, but I still feel confused about what Dr. Price thinks could be causing my symptoms. The nurse who came in after the appointment was helpful in answering detailed questions I had.

It was disappointing that Dr Price did not review my previous request about taking Rivastigmine for my Parkinson's cognition which was why I had originally scheduled the appointment. When I stopped going to Lou Ruvo in Las Vegas, that was the last medication they had recommended.

As a new patient I had to wait 8 months for an appointment. It was not urgent and in the meantime, I had all the tests that my internist felt were necessary. I had everything finished by the time I saw Dr Price, which him help diagnose and issues I had been having.

Dr. Price was very thorough and talked to me for almost an hour about my problem and what he thought he could do for me. He booked me for a follow up appointment in a few weeks and in the meantime, was going to try and locate the records for Dr. Fogel so he could review those before my next appointment on Dec. 23, 2020.

I was very disappointed that Dr. Price had not received my records from the previous doctor, Dr. Fogel. I personally took them in with the other paper work in July and the girl who I handed them to told me they would make a copy and give me the originals when I came in for my appointment. They had all of the paper work I had filled out, but Dr. Price hadn't been able to see the records from Dr. Fogel as they were not in my file??????????

Dr. Price has been an advocate for The pursuit of answers to my puzzling medical challenges and symptoms. I have complete faith in his medical competency and concern for my medical needs. My first appointment, and I remember reading this from other patients in online surveys, was startling because his immediate focus was on verbal input to the computer. It was startling and offputting because there was no greeting or explanation that he would be talking to his computer, and for most of the visit I had to strain to decipher if he was talking to me or the computer since his tone in speech was consistent between the two. I'm glad that I stuck it out but I can see that it can't feel rude or offputting to others. overtime Dr. price has revealed more of his personality, which I find to be kind, thoughtful and funny. although I trust Dr. price for his medical knowledge and treatment of my case, these personal attributes definitely add to That trust and also help me hold onto hope for any eventual diagnoses of my frightening symptoms.

Since coming to this clinic there have been a few changes to the nursing staff but the personnel office must be doing a great job because they are all both professional and friendly. Again, this makes such a difference in setting up the tone to see the doctor!

The only area of weakness I see is when records need to be sent out to other medical offices. There have been a number of occasions when I've had to make numerous follow-up calls although the problem, or glitch, has usually been a different one. It seems to me that an improvement in making follow-up calls, Or perhaps extra staff time for following up various issues, Would be beneficial.

It was difficult to book an appointment because covid has dr price backed up. I was told I would be on the waiting list, and then after calling I found out I wasn't and then finally I was put on it...it just seemed incredibly disorganized.

Dr Price always makes me feel worse when I leave than when I got there. He is extremely cold and condescending. I usually cry after my appointments with him. I have been going through migraine for over 20 years and he treats me like a first-timer every time. He is extremely negative and will never look me in the eyes. He is just awful.

Dr. Price was terrific! He explained everything to me and gave me print outs of information. He really showed concern for my problem (unlike the callous dismissal I had received from a previous neurologist more than 6 years ago). He listened to me, was able to easily interpret what I was trying to explain, and gave me answers to my questions and concerns.

I did have to wait for about 20 minutes past my appointment time, but it wasn't too bad and the NA and Dr. Price were both apologetic about the delay. 20 minutes wasn't so bad. (I've had worse from other clinics and no one there ever apologized for it).

This is the first time Dr. Price seemed cordial and wasn't condescending or rude. We have been seeing him for over two years and honestly, if there was another VA contracted neuro dr in SLO, we would have changed by now. If he continues to improve his his treatment of patients - as this last visit was so much better, then perhaps I could recommend him - but not now. My care provider patiently listened to my descriptions/explanations before proposing solutions and describing their benefits. He is very courteous and helpful. He motivated me to make changes to improve my quality of living, and I'm feeling very hopeful.

Every staff member in the building was welcoming, helpful, and patient. I immediately felt more comfortable. It was very refreshing!
